I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family since the oldest was in utero, and these images were made in the streets of their current hometown on a digital camera in the fall of 2022. It was the second to last session I would ever shoot on digital, and the first that truly embodied my approach of being intentional, slow, open, and trusting — no direction, just witnessing what naturally arose. I was (and still am) beyond thrilled with the results, and cannot wait to make more work in New York later this year. -x
